Home > KLM Cityhopper > ReviewTaken January 1999 from Amsterdam Schiphol to FrankurtAll in all, the flight to Frankfurt was good. Frankfurt were very good. We were travelling with our son (at that time 4 months old) and were quite pleased when the KLM UK agent in Aberdeen told us that our seats from AMS-FRA were right at the rear of the aircraft away from the engines. The agent obviously didn't realize that the engines on a Fokker 70 are right at the back of the aircraft. Our son, and the rest of the people sitting near us, didn't like the fact that he cried a bit due to the noise. We were quite cramped for space. We were offered some other seats but were told that the oxygen masks weren't working there (reassuring!!) and that we would have to return to the noisy seats on landing. This wasn't worth the hassle. Service on board was limited (but friendly) due to the short flight (50 minutes) and I suspect that the "no-smoking" sign was left illuminated to ensure that passengers didn't interrupt the drinks service by wanting to go to the toilet. All in all, not bad for the price. The return trip FRA-AMS-Aberdeen-AMS-FRA cost us DEM 500,- (US$250) return per person, and the baby was free. | ||
