Taken July 2003 from Manchester to Toronto

Direct flight to Canada.

Flight delayed leaving Manchester - due to leave at 4pm, but left at 5.25pm.

There was a disagreement over seats up front, with some "I'm not moving" comments from a rather loud passenger.

Once in the air, we were told by the pilot that we would be going up to Glasgow to take on more passengers in an unscheduled stop. As we were taxiing to the stand the pilot said, I will be doing a fast turnaround in about twenty minutes so keep your seatbelts fastened. There were more problems over seating in the rear section. Then we were told we were to take on more fuel so please unfasten your seat belts.

We eventually took off at 7.10pm with a full aircraft Airbus 330 (toilets downstairs). Flight attendants were very good - dispensing free headsets, free drinks and food. Not much legroom due to being on row one with the bulkhead in front of the seats.

We arrived in Toronto after a 10 hour flight instead of a 7 hour flight, at 10.15pm instead of 6.45pm local. This year I managed to get my suitcase through OK, after last years debacle with MYT when they forgot to put it on the plane, it was missing for a week (half my holiday).

The return trip on August 12th started with a two hour delay - due to leave at 8.20pm, but left at 10.20 pm.

Aircraft was an Airbus and was fairly empty, no stops direct to Manchester.

Flight smooth and done in a quick five hours fifty eight minutes. Arrived into a hot and sunny North of England and very hot 84 degrees Farenheit, not as hot as Toronto, though it was 100 degrees plus and very humid.

Flying again with MYT at Christmas. Good value and the cheapest tickets around.
