Home > Air Europa > ReviewTaken August 2003 from Palma Mallorca to SouthamptonNot so good as the outbound flight I am afraid. At checkin, we arrived in the middle of Air Europa's desks at Palma, which had queues everywhere. Checkin took us about 45 minutes and literally as soon as we had our boarding passes, the flight was boarding. Palma is a huge airport and it took about 20 minutes to get to the gate. Once on the aircraft, again a 737-400 (this time EC-IRA) it appeared a lot older, and there was a lot less legroom. It was just about bareable for a 2 hour flight. It was the same routine again, drink service followed by meals. At 6 am in the morning the last thing you want to eat is tuna sandwiches, exactly like those we had outbound!! This time a duty-free service was offered. We landed 20 minutes early at Southampton, but waited on the taxi way for 30 minutes as there weren't any parking spaces available. Eventually an aircraft departed and we disembarked. This was no fault of the airline. The crew were friendly and helpful again, but the purser was quite difficult to understand. Overall, not bad, but I would've prefered the flight to be more like the one on the outbound leg... | ||
