Home > Britannia Airways > 2003 > ReviewTaken August 2003 from Manchester to FaroAircraft: Boeing 767-300 G-BYD (new colours) Depart: 15.40 Flight No: BY494A/BY494B. Our flight with Britannia was very pleasing. We were on time and a very smooth take-off. The weather was very good, so we could see everything below. The seats on the Boeing 767-300 were comfy and had a lot more legroom than Britannia's Boeing 757's, which I have flown on. The cabin crew were friendly yet professional. The drinks service promptly commenced after take-off, followed by the meal, which was decent. The Captain kept us well informed about where we were, what speed and altitude we were at. The whole flight was turbulence free, which pleased me because I hate it! What I liked about the service is that it was all related to The World of TUI, and one member of cabin crew was in the new uniform, which I have to say was very nice and a improvement to their current one. Smooth landing at Faro half an hour ahead of schedule. Return flight was just a repeat of the outbound flight, ahead of schedule, really good crew and service. Also we were sat in the first row so we had loads of legroom, which is good as I'm 6 foot 4! Smooth landing at MAN and a quick departure from the aircraft. What made the flight entertaining wasn't the in-flight videos, which is good and free, but the cabin manager, named Karen, who was a real laugh! As we were sat right in-front of the galley we could chat to her. Thanks Britannia, see you soon! | ||
