Taken August 2003 from East Midlands to Pisa

Outward flight was on time, with reasonable service.

Return flight from Pisa was delayed by several hours, and eventually cancelled at 3 a.m. after an 8 hour delay.

There was no member of BmiBaby staff at Pisa. There was no way of contacting BmiBaby in Britain as they had closed for the weekend, and East Midlands airport could give us no information. There were few announcements of what was happening. We feel that the airline lied about the situation right up until the cancelled flight was rescued by a British Midland flight chartered by Bmibaby from Glasgow the following evening. Total delay 26 hours.

Although the flights were reasonably priced (about £360 total for four passengers) they were not cheap enough for the discomfort & anxiety caused. Staff at East Midlands had not prepared necessary confirmation of cancellation forms ready for our arrival, despite our telephoning them in advance to request this. They even tried to deny that the flight had been cancelled, saying it was rescheduled. I will never fly with them again.
