The change of planes at Palma de Mallorca is often required as it serves as a hub for Air Berlin. A bit annoying, although the transfer happens quite fast.

Air Berlin is quite cheap, but the service compares to other holiday airlines: You get a cold meal, free non-alcoholic drinks and a newspaper.

The plane from Munich to Palma was an old-looking 737-400, the other flights on newer 737-800s. The crews were friendly and efficient.

I would take Air Berlin again as the service is quite good for the low ticket price.
