Home > Monarch > 2003 > ReviewTaken September 2003 from Manchester to FaroFlight delayed for over four hours. We were advised at check-in of a 30 minute delay. This was reduced to 15 minutes before boarding. On boarding we were advised by the captain that there was a problem with the sensors on a door, which was showing on the computer as not being closed. Engineers were working and they would hopefully be able to resolve the problem. We were then asked by the captain to disembark and return to the terminal as the problem was not being resolved. We then waited from the scheduled departure time of 4.00pm until 7.15pm to be advised that we could re-embark. The flight eventually left over 4 hours late. Despite this problem, the captain and the cabin staff were very polite and courteous, and I had a pleasant flight. | ||
