Home > Alaska Airlines > ReviewTaken September 2003 from Seattle SEA to Chicago ORDHaving been transferred to Chicago from Seattle several years ago, I had forgotten how incredible Alaska Airlines really is. These people make exceptional customer service and professionalism look easy. This flight is exactly what air travel should be. No hassles, no attitude and above all, safe. I am platinum on American and 1K on United, and I can say without any qualification, I was treated better as a non-elite flyer on Alaska than I have ever been treated by AA and UA. Impressive! Alaska seems to be on the cutting edge of technology in the movement and processing of passengers, but I sure didn't feel like a guinea pig! I was able to upgrade my coach ticket for $100. No hassles, no problems and no begging on my part. What a concept! And I will tell you, it was the BEST $100 I ever gave to any airline! On my return trip the flight was oversold. The way the Seattle crew handled the situation was a textbook example of how to deal with a potentially bad problem the right way. I was amazed not only to get a meal, but a meal of high-end restaurant quality. If I have had a meal on an airplane that was superior, I don't remember it. Thank you Alaska for starting service to Chicago, I will be back! | ||
