Home > KLM > 2002 > ReviewTaken February 2002 from London to New DelhiStaff at London and Amsterdam are very helpful and courteous. Delhi however, is another story. As we were overweight with our luggage, we asked the member of staff if he had accounted for the free 10kgs for our baby. This sent him him into a blind rage - he screamed and shouted abuse at my family and I, with racial overtones. Knowing that we are in a third world country, we noted his name and complained to KLM in Amsterdam and in the UK by letter afterwards. He then continued harassing us by following us to the departure gate after we had gone in, to check on our hand luggage - How many airlines do that, where the check-in-staff race to the gate to harrass already aggrieved passangers? We were pleased to receive an apology from the Chief Exec and head of Customer Service - but were concerned to note that despite an 'apparent' investigation, they themselves found the results somewhat 'blurry' - which means the abusive member of staff probably got away with it! To make matters worse, the only 'compensation' we were finally offered was a lousy bottle of wine, which they said was not compensation, but given in good will!??! I would consider KLM again maybe, for any other destination except for India, as the staff there, seem to be a law onto themselves! | ||
