Home > Northwest > 2003 > ReviewTaken October 2003 from Washington BWI to Orange County CADo not fly Northwest airlines! I purchased a ticket to travel from Washington DC to Orange County CA from October 4th to October 13th. 2003. A month prior to my departure, my mother died and was brought back to life one hour after she had passed. Most of her brain is dead and she is on life support. I contacted Northwest to cancel my flight and requested I be able to use the airfare within a year. They said sure no problem, but there will be a $130.00 change fee??? The ticket only cost $200.00! I informed the travel agent of my situation and she said that Northwest does not honor any sort bereavement benefit under any circumstances. I wrote Northwest a second letter thanking them for their compassion and gave them one last chance to do the right thing or I would never fly Northwest again. The same lady replied and said again, absolutely not, no way, no exceptions. I then wrote a letter on September 19th 2003 to Mr. Richard Anderson the CEO of Northwest and as of October 15th, no response. Northwest airlines obviously does not care about their customers, please do not fly them, I want to have the pleasure of seeing them go belly up. | ||
