Taken September 2003 from Dublin DUB to Los Angeles LAX

I flew Aer Lingus from Dublin to Los Angeles in late September, on flight EI 145. Boarding in Dublin was fast, and in a short space of time, all passengers were fully loaded on the Airbus A330-200 as we got ready for our 12 hour trip. Pushed back from gate at 11.59am, and rotated at 12.06.

The flight was relatively empty, and I therefore had 4 aisle seats to myself in the center of the cabin. Complimentary drinks were served, by a very attentive cabin crew; both young and old faces, stewards and stewardesses. They were dressed very well, in their Aer Lingus uniform. Dinner was served (a choice meal), with more drinks, as well as snacks and further drinks throughout the flight.

Landing in Los Angeles was smooth, and we landed ahead of schedule. (30 minutes early).

My return flight to Dublin, a week later was on EI 144. This flight was packed. Every single seat was occupied. Again, a beautiful new aircraft, spacious and bright. Comfy seats with personal seatback TV's. Again, the food and inflight service were excellent, and having left LAX late due to air traffic control restrictions, we landed 30 minutes early into Dublin!!

Excellent service. Will be flying Aer Lingus to Los Angeles and their other transatlantic routes shortly.
