This was my first flight with Easyjet although I have previously used GO to get to Alicante on numerous occasions. The 'Airline' program on TV does not often show this company in a good light so I wasn't sure what to expect, especially without assigned seating.

Boarding was quick (although this was helped by the small number of passengers) and the aircraft was very impressive - we flew on G-EZJV which was only 8 months old and spotlessly clean.

The seats were reasonably comfortable and legroom was also better than I have experienced previously on budget airlines. The flight was only just over half full, and this added to the relaxed and spacious atmosphere inside the aircraft.

The flight attendants were friendly and the captain gave us a couple of updates during the journey.

We landed exactly on time in Alicante and baggage was on the belt within five or ten minutes.

At only GBP 11.99 (plus taxes) this was a bargain!
