Taken October 2003 from Paris, Charles de Gaulle - CDG to Edinburgh - EDI

Traveling for the first time abroad from the United States, I was a little bit apprehensive to fly Cityjet, as they are a smaller regional carrier with very few reviews. I had seen some lukewarm reviews of the airline and commentary on their "older" fleet of BAe147 aircraft. We had first class tickets for all the segments of our trip, but the BAe147 aircraft are not outfitted with the larger seats due to the smaller size of the cabin. Cityjet simply allows the middle seat in a row of three to remain empty to allow for more personal space.

I was actually surprised at the overall comfort and smoothness of the flight to Edinburgh. The Cityjet crew operating for Air France was simply superb and this turned out to be one of the best flights of the entire trip. The plane was not as noisy as I expected (after reading some of the other reviews I expected some type of rattle-trap aircraft that was noisy and uncomfortable). Overall I was extremely pleased with the smooth flight, the aircraft and the friendly and professional flight crew. I don't know if I just hit them on a good day, but I would recommend Cityjet to anyone.
