Home > Air India > 2003 > ReviewTaken November 2003 from London, Heathrow - LHR to Bombay - BOMI flew by AI 112 from London to Bombay via New Delhi. Here is my experience: London to New Delhi The flight originated from New York and was full. Boarding was efficient and the staff (including security personnel) were polite and thorough. The seat that was originally pre booked was not given as the flight was full. The aircraft was old and unclean. The toilets did not have sufficient toiletries. The aircraft did not contain any newspapers or magazines. The flight took off on time, and the service which commenced was poor. The staff did not smile and make you feel warm. They seemed tired and uninterested. Overall service was unobtrusive and functional. The only compensation was the fact that the food was superb. Arrival time in New Delhi was delayed by an hour. New Delhi - Bombay The aircraft was thoroughly cleaned for the internal flight which lasted 1 1/2 hours. There was a change of crew, and the aircraft took off an hour late. The service and food were very good on this internal flight, and the flight was actually very good. The toilets were also clean, and functional. The overall scores given reflect the very poor international flight. Air India need to invest in its aircraft and service if they are to be a truly international airline that it aspires to. | ||
