Home > Aer Arann > ReviewTaken November 2003 from Dublin - DUB to Cork - ORKAfter sitting on a broken down train in the middle of nowhere for 3 hours I vowed never to do this journey by train again. I decided to fly DUB to ORK and will definately be doing it again. Check in was hassle free. Just gave my id number to the checkin agent (no passport needed), he was polite and quick and I was checked in in a minute. The flight left about ten minutes late due to traffic in Dublin. The flight crew kept us up to date during the flight (and we got to Cork on time). The cabin crew were friendly offering a juice or water service from the bar. Did expect to get a cup a tea, but on a 45minute flight I didn't really care. You also get a complimentary newspaper. The aircraft was an ATR 72 turboprop and I expected this to be a noisy flight, to my surprise it wasn't too noisy at all, the leg room was good too. For anyone visiting Ireland I would highly recommend this service. Aer arann have a good domestic network and the bus and train services in Ireland are slow and long. The roads are not great either (expect to sit on a bus for 7hours from Dublin to Cork). The price wasn't bad too only about 20euro more than the train (and well worth it) and you can book on line. Definitely will use their service again. | ||
