Home > Britannia Airways > 2003 > ReviewTaken December 2003 from London, Stansted - STN to Rovaniemi - RVNI fly with Britannia Airways at least once a year, and have become familiar with the airline's service and reliability. However, this time my flight was delayed an hour and a half, much to my surprise. Eventually, the flight was called, and we made our way to the gate (gate 7). When we arrived we discovered that we were the first to board, which was a nice surprise. The aircraft was a Boeing 767-300ER and was painted in the new Britannia TUI colour scheme. Having boarded the plane, we were told that our flight time to Rovaniemi, Lapland was 2hrs 50mins, which was less than I had expected. We took off after a 90 minute delay, and were soon on our way to Lapland. We were served free soft drinks and a meal consisting of sausages, scrambled eggs, bacon and beans. The food wasn't too bad, however, after the meal it was announced that they wanted the whole plane to sing carols. This was fairly fun, but not great as I was trying to sleep at this point. We landed at midday as the sun went down, on a very snowy runway, and eventually left the plane in search of Santa...! | ||
