Home > KLM Cityhopper > ReviewTaken December 2003 from Edinburgh - EDI to Amsterdam, Schiphol - AMSFirst flight out of Edinburgh airport 6.05Am meant an early start. We arrived at check-in at 5.45 and to our horror saw that the KLM desks were queued right in a snake around the terminal. Check-in was painfully slow, but I find that this is the case when servisair is the handling agent. We did not board the aircraft until 6.15, although all boarding was done very quickly the pilot had to wait for a new slot. We eventually took off at 6.35. The aircraft was a Fokker100 and although I was suffering from a heavy cold and did not notice anything, my partner was disgusted at the smell coming from the toilets in the rear and was getting quite nauseous. The breakfast choice was either an egg and sausage roll or an egg or tomato roll (This is the reason I stopped flying Air UK years ago as I cannot eat egg!!!) So I have marked down the comfort marks for these two reasons. Strong headwinds helped the aircraft arrive on time in Amsterdam which was a blessing as we had a tight transfer time to our next flight. I was impressed with the crew (all Scottish - no announcements in Dutch at all) and apart from my gripes above this was an enjoyable flight. | ||
