Home > TransMeridian Airlines > ReviewTaken December 2003 from Syracuse, NY - SYR to Orlando, FL - ORLI was not pleased at all with Trans-Meridian Airlines. The only thing they did not do wrong was crash the plane. I recently took a trip to Florida for the holidays and experienced the worst treatment from an airline I have ever had before. I am very familiar with flying to and from Orlando. I travel there at least twice a year and decided to try Trans-Meridian for its low prices and round-trip offer. I can honestly say the appearance of a deal is very decieving. On my return flight I was told of a 30 minute delay due to "mechanical problems". The airline representative was very dissmissing of the problem and ensured us of a departure announcement in 30 minutes. However, the representative came out for the second announcement and said it would be another 45 minutes, and after that wait another 30 minutes. After almost two hours of waiting, the flight was cancelled and hotels offered. It was rescheduled for 6:15am. All of those who would not take advantage of the free hotel room left and would return at the stated time in the morning. After witnessing many arguements, I waited outside for my ride and heard the man telling the individuals he was sending to the hotel the departure was rescheduled for 7:15am. I was angered by the fact that the people who were making it easier on the airline and going to there own dwellings were actaully the ones being taken advantage of. Fortunately, I heard and arrived accordingly in the morning. However, there were individuals who had been there an hour or so before and the representative offered no remorse. In total, 10 indivuduals out of one-hundred and twenty five or so waited another hour for the hotel passangers to come. There was no excuse for the airline to be the cause of this many delays. The people who were punctual and understanding of the airline were the ones treated the worst. I arrived at my destinatation, after the meal was also cancelled on the flight, twelve and a half hours later than our scheduled time. Not only do I have the previous problem, two of my family memebers flew this airline a week later. They too experienced "mechanical problems", followed by a 4 hour wait in the airport, with no answers. The flight was eventually rescheduled for a 2:30am departure with the same crew. Meaning that there was no rest for either the passangers or the airline staff. I did not pick up my brothers until 5:30am. After I was scheduled to pick them up around 10pm. I feel that Trans-Meridian Airlines is decietful, unreliable, and uncaring. It is defiantely not worth the hassle to get cheaper tickets. It ruined my trip and the timing of those who's lives depended on a scheduled arrival and departure. | ||
