Taken January 1992 from Bogota - BOG to Miami, FL - MIA

In January of 1992, I flew from Bogota, Colombia, to Miami, Florida. At the time, this flight was operated by Ladeco Airlines of Chile, before Lan Chile acquired its international routes. I was highly impressed with the service of this airline. Prior to take-off from Bogota, the crew served drinks in the economy class cabin. After take-off, appetizers and another round of drinks were served. The appetizers were excellent and gourmet. A plentiful meal was later served, which was very lavish. Drinks were also bountiful throughout the three-hour flight.

The only minor setback was that the flight was slightly delayed in Bogota for about 30 minutes. The service was wonderful and the flight attendants were quite courteous and professional.

The service was quite better than that offered by U.S. carriers in cross-country domestic flights in the U.S.!
