Taken December 2003 from Toronto - YTO to Manchester - MAN

Flight was half an hour late before arrival at the airport. Boarding began when, according to the new, delayed flight time, the plane should have been leaving.

After boarding, pilot announced that the Glasgow luggage had not yet been loaded and we would have to wait while it was loaded. When lthe uggage was finally loaded, the plane got in line for the runway.

Minutes later, the plane suddenly exited the line. We were told that there was a problem with the wing and that the plane would have to go back to the terminal to be fixed. Half an hour later, the pilot told us that he had spoken with the flight engineer in England and that the problem had fixed itself and we were going to take off anyway.

When we eventually got in the air (after sitting on the plane for three hours), we were told that the in-flight entertainment system was not operational and there would be no movies. To make up for this inconvenience, the airline paid for our first round of drinks (we had to pay for all subsequent drinks, snacks, - including peanuts - and any additional food apart from our single provided meal).

Service was rude, unhelpful, and aggressive.
