Home > Air India > 2003 > ReviewTaken January 2003 from Dubai - DXB to Chennai (Madras) - MAAA very upsetting experience indeed. the flight from Chennai to Dubai was by code sharing with emirates, hence the service and check in at the new terminal in Chennai was excellent. On the way back, the check in at Dubai was orderly and polite. The flight landed 15 minutes late, but left a full hour late. The interiors of the aircraft were extremely old, with the walls peeling off the windows. The aircraft was extremely clean which was a pleasant surprise. What was most upsetting was the service by the staff. The crew were not groomed at all, and seemed more interested in chatting to each other than serving the passengers. The safety demonstration was pathetic, with the overhead monitors not working at all! The food was badly cooked and of poor quantity. The only plus point was the very good choice of audio entertainment, which though short was very soothing. The only problem with this were the earphones which were terrible, and made your ear ache. The captain repeatedly spoke to the passengers on the PA system and apologized for the bad service. He seemed to sense the poor quality of the cabin staff. The landing in Chennai was good and I was only too happy to leave the aircraft. | ||
