I had a return booking from Ireland to London Stansted, and back again. I asked the lady at the Ryanair desk in Ireland how long is the check in open until departure, and she said 30 minutes.

I flew from Ireland to Stansted no problem. For the return flight, I arrived at the set of Ryanair check in desks in Stansted 42 minutes before departure time, but go to the wrong Ryanair desk. I am unaware of any urgency, and proceed to the correct Ryanair desk 40 minutes before scheduled take off. I am told I have just missed check in! I have flown probably hundreds of times in my lifetime and have never been treated so badly. There is no other flight to my destination until next day. I feel this is a bit of a scam, as I had to pay Ryanair for the next flight as well. I will NEVER again fly with them again, and will urge hundreds of people, if I possibly can, never to do so either.
