Taken December 2003 from London, Heathrow - LHR to Port of Spain - POS

Flew out on the A340-300 which had just been serviced in Montreal. The time keeping was spot on after several days of delays when BWIA were apparently using a leased aircraft.

As a frequent traveller to Trinidad over the years I have seen the fortunes of Bee Wee go up and down. The new aircraft is good, but things seem to go a bit belly up each time it goes in for service!

Hopefully BWIA will be able to lease another aircraft soon. I don't know how they manage the Manchester route in addition to London - that is if they still have it!

Unfortunately BWIA is the only carrier that flies direct from Heathrow to the Eastern Caribbean and that is the main reason why people book with them. I know that Virgin do a direct service to Tobago on Mondays and BA fly to Tobago via Antigua, but then there is the hassle of getting from Tobago to POS.

Hopefully things will improve with BWIA soon.
