Taken December 2003 from Miami, FL - MIA to Amsterdam, Schiphol - AMS

This was the first time I flew KLM. Check-in in Miami was done by Northwest Airlines personnel. The process was fast and efficient. On board the plane I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the flight attendants. Everything was done with a smile and in a way that differs from US- based airlines. The only drawback was that I seemed to have less legroom than on US companies (which, except a few exceptions, are know to have little legroom space).

The same thing can be said for the return flight. Check in in Amsterdam was carried out by KLM personnel, and it was as good as it had been in Miami. Unfortunately, we were delayed about one hour for take-off, but we made time up on the air, and arrived only half an hour later than scheduled.
