Taken October 2003 from Malaga - AGP to Cardiff - CWL
We arrived at the airport earlier than the recommended time, but despite that, took nearly two hours to book the cases in. Once inside, we had no time for Duty Free, straight through to Departures. There were still loads of people behind us in the queue, so it was obvious that the flight was never going to leave on time, but was still showing no delay on the boards. There was never any communication between airport staff and passengers, we were all completely in the dark. We finally left an hour late. On arrival in Cardiff, picked up our first suitcase, and then waited and waited as an ever decreasing number of cases appeared on the carousel. After more hanging around, it appears that our case along with another eighteen peoples, were ejected at Malaga because the aircraft was overwieght. BMI knew all this, why did they let us wait at the carousel for case that were clearly never going to arrive? Then it was off to queue again to register details of our luggage. We were finally reunited four days later with our case, despite being promised it would be delivered before that, and not leaving the house for fear of missing it. Suffice to say, it was an absolute disaster. If things go well with a BMI flight, you're fine, but when they go wrong, forget any customer care, it's pathetic. |
