Home > SAS > 2003 > ReviewTaken December 2003 from London, Heathrow - LHR to Stockholm, Arlanda - ARNFlew business class on this evening flight from London Heathrow to Stockholm. I have flown this route several times in both economy and business class and the cut-backs due to the financial problems are obvious. Still I have high regard for this airline as they have always given good service and I have never had any bad experiences with the cabin crew. SAS used to have a choice of two meals in business class on this route, nowadays there is only one meal. They also used to have a nice elegant menu for the passengers, now it is just a piece of paper, on some flights they do not even have a menu. But the food is normally very tasty and adequate for the flight. A welcome drink was served right after take-off with some snacks. Then the hot meal with a nice selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Afterwards coffee and avec. The coffee onboard SAS is excellent. In economy class they used to serve a hot meal, this has been reduced to a cold meal served in plastic box. Despite the cut-backs SAS still offers good service in both classes. They have a hassle-free check-in with self-service machines, an excellent selection of newspapers and friendly crew members onboard. | ||
