Home > Monarch > 2004 > ReviewTaken February 2004 from London, Gatwick - LGW to Banjul - BJLInitially were were anxious about flying with Monarch, but based on this flight we had no valid reason for being so. The outbound flight left on time and arived 15 minutes early. The inbound flight departed 1 hour late, but made about 30 minutes. We paid for economy premium which provided us with extra leg room. The seats were very comfortable. The flight relaxed and stress free. We were able to move our legs as freely as if sitting in a sofa at home. We think this made a signicant difference to how we felt and had a benifical impact throughout our holiday. We arrived stress free and no lingering worries about the return flight. The food was good. Hot food was hot. Cold food cold. Portions were ample, though the mix was a bit strange. We had lamb for the main dish with a chicken salad. Drinks were readilly avaialble. The cabin crew were efficient. We would have liked them to have been just a bit more conversational as they went about their job. more smiles needed here! Overall a good experience alround. | ||
