Home > Delta > 2004 > ReviewTaken March 2004 from Atlanta, GA - ATL to Los Angeles, CA - LAXThis flight operated as one of Delta's domestic Business Elite flights using an internationally configured 767. I used Delta's on-line check-in and printed my own boarding card at home. At the airport I showed the boarding card and my ID to the skycap who had my bags tagged in 30 seconds. I was impressed and will certainly use on-line check-in again. Business class passengers are permitted to use the "priority" security in ATL and receive an invitation to the Crown Room Clubs. The Crown Room Club on ATL's E concourse was spacious, quiet and well equipped. There was a full service bar and light munchies. Boarding was by "zone" with Business Class being the first to board. The large cabin has seats in a 2x2x2 configuration with a very generous 60 inch seat pitch. Seats are a combination fabric and leather with electric controls and individual videos. Coats were hung and a choice of beverage offered. Overhead bin space was abundant. Although full, the cabin did not feel crowded, although all the blue seats and carpet made it a bit dark. The flight departed exactly on time. After take-off beverages were served followed by hot towels, tablecloths and a hot breakfast including fruit and a hot cinnamon roll. (No choice was offered) The inseat video offered a good selection of movies and games, although the screen was a bit small and had static lines occasionally. Flight attendants were readily available through-out the flight offering beverages. Despite the fog at LAX we landed on time. Much to my delight, my priority tagged bags were among the first to arrive at baggage claim. Delta's Business Elite transcon flights are superior to any standard domestic product. I will adjust my schedule to be on one of these international class airplanes. They are the same price/FF miles as regular domestic flights, but are far more comfortable, and to me represent an excellent value. | ||
