The flight to Copenhagen left Bristol at 0750 on a Monday morning (twenty minutes after advertised departure) in March 2004 but arrived at Kastrup Airport, Copenhagen bang on time. The Boeing 737-300 aircraft was almost full and was clean and comfortable. The cabin staff were cheerful and helpful.

Bristol is an easy airport to use (no pun intended) and although it is getting busier by the month it is generally a relaxing environment.

The return flight was four days later and was the return of that morning's outbound service from the UK. The three young (very young in appearance) female cabin staff were a delight although the senior member could learn to smile a bit more. This time the 737-300 was a former Go machine (G-IGOV) and it also provided a pleasant environment in which to fly. However, it was only about two thirds full.

The weather deteriorated at the UK end and, having glimpsed Heathrow through a break in the clouds, we then flew enveloped in solid cloud for the next fifteen minutes or so and only emerged as we began to turn onto final approach overhead Weston-super-Mare.

I was disappointed with the lack of information from the flight deck on both journeys. Apart from brief welcomes neither captain told us anything of our route other than to give very short progress reports in mid flight, both times as it happened as we passed near to Amsterdam.

I don't know whether this is company policy. In the Go days the captains seemed mines of information.

Having paid only £46 including taxes and charges for the return trip I cannot be anything but impressed with what I received.
