Kennedy, NY - JFKAfter reading some of the reviews on this site of Air India flights between the UK and the US, I must admit I had my doubts. We were checked in quickly and efficiently, and as first time visitors to the US we had the visa application explained to us in simple terms. The flight itself was fantastic. The food was a superb curry I would have been pleased with from any takeaway. As it was a trans Atlantic flight, the drinks were free and supplied in any quantity you wished. We made good time and landed early thanks mainly to tailwinds and zero turbulence. The flight home was the complete opposite as far as turbulence was concerned and we were buffeted and bounced for a good four and a half hours out of JFK. Unfortunately the pilot's only option was to porpoise up and down under the weather, but he kept us informed as to what was going on and how long we could expect the turbulence to last. On the whole, Air India provide a fantastic low cost service and seem to be genuinely committed to ensuring you enjoy your flight. | ||
