Home > Aer Arann > ReviewTaken January 2004 from Birmingham - BHX to Cork - ORKThis was the final flight out of Birmingham to Cork that evening. Check-in was handled by Ground Globe/Servisair and fine, better than EI ground handling. No delay at Birmingham, although the busing of passengers is time consuming, as the bus wasits for all passengers to arrive at the boarding gate and dumps everyone at the aircraft door, where we stood in the cold for ten minutes waiting for those ahead of us to sit down. The service was similar on this leg to the outbound one, but without the newspaper or the smiles. The ATR is a very noisy airplane, particuarly when one sits in row 6, right next to the engine. This probably explains the lack of a smile? If I was working next to that racket all day I wouldn't be smiling either. The service was effecient and tasty, though. The pilot tok a strange corse, flying north from Birmingham and then going south from Dublin bay? I'm sure this added a lot of filght time on this sector, but we still arrived ten minutes early. Well done Aer Arann. | ||
