Home > Flyjet > 2003 > ReviewTaken June 2003 from London, Gatwick - LGW to Rhodos - RHOWe too flew with Flyjet last summer to Rhodes. Our outbound flight was only a few minutes late, but had no in-flight entertainment. I thought the plane was very smart from the outside, but tatty on the inside. The return flight was generally very poor. The inbound aircraft arrived 20 minutes late and the delay on the monitors for the return journey stated only 5 minutes. However 1 hour after we were due to depart we were still waiting with no announcements. Once on board we waited a further 30 minutes, the explanation from the pilot being that the baggage handlers were holding us up due to the volume of flights that morning. However other airlines appeared to be departing on time. We arrived in Gatwick over an hour and a half late. For some reason, Flyjet allow considerably less time for the Rhodes flight than other airlines, ours was scheduled to take 3hrs 45mins which resulted in us losing time as opposed to making it up! Again, no in-flight entertainment. Upon arrival in Gatwick, like other reviews on this site we had to wait ages for the stairs to arrive. Our luggage however arrived very quickly. Generally a poor experience, but I understand Flyjet were brand new then so I hope they've ironed out their teething problems and wish them well for the future. | ||
