Home > Kuwait Airways > ReviewTaken January 2004 from Singapore, Changi - SIN to Kuwait - KWIKuwait airlines is a horrible airline for the westerner traveler with very young children who value safety. Our 2-year old son has been traveling with other international carriers (including Garuda from Indonesia) and has been allowed to use a FAA approved child seat during take off and landing. In fact, I am pretty sure that if you purchase a seat for your child, it is required by FAA that they sit in these seats. The head Pursor insisted that it was Kuwait Airline Policy that children (even if you purchase a seat) had to sit on your lap during take off and landing. Do you see how stupidly dangerous this is??! With this total surprise just before takeoff and the argument we had with the arrogant pursor, I thought they were going to kick us off the plane. So on takeoff, our son cried and cried since he wanted to sit in his seat (even he was smart enough at his age of 2 years to know what's right). The crying I could live with, but the unsafe situation imposed on us was hard to handle. We were treated like idiots over an issue that we feel jeapordized our safety. We could live with the fact that the airline was dirty, the seats were uncomfortable, the audio/visual entertainment was poor, etc. But the unsafe situation they imposed on us and our child is the whole reason we will NEVER fly KUWAIT AIRLINES ever again. If you have small children and value their safety, do not fly Kuwait Airlines. All you need is a little bit of turbulence on take off and they could wiggle their way off your lap and crush their head on the seat in front of them. | ||
