Home > Air India > 2003 > ReviewTaken July 2003 from London, Heathrow - LHR to New York - John F. Kennedy, NY - JFKI decided to try Air India when I wanted to go to USA several months ago, because it was the most economical one. I had read reviews of this airline which were, nevertheless, very satisfactory. But the experience wasn't as I expected it to be. The aircraft was of very very poor condition, not less than 20 - 25 years old. It was evident when the plane took off, when all the cabins made strange noises and it seemed that I was traveling in a bus on broken Indian roads. The aircraft wasn't clean, and it made me feel somewhat uncomfortable. But the crew was very exceptional, and very caring. I had problems with my seat, as it was not roomy (unlike other airlines' economy class). One thing that bothered me most was the food. I, being a Muslim, would eat "Halal" food, and they had none in that flight. It was frustrating, and that in fact was the reason I decided not to look back at Air India again. | ||
