Home > Ethiopian Airlines > ReviewTaken April 2004 from London, Heathrow - LHR to Luanda - LADShocked, stunned and amazed is my reaction to my recent experience on Ethiopian! I flew Ethiopian from London to Luanda as it cost about £500 in economy whilst BA charges a whopping £2,000 for its economy service to Luanda. The plane was not as direct as BA as it stopped in Rome en route to Addis Ababa and in Kinshasa on the leg from Addis Ababa to Luanda, but Ethiopian give you a lot more legroom than European carriers as well as better music. The food is not quite on a par with Singapore or Cathay, but it is still edible (and a decent amount too!) and is on a par with most leading airlines. Where Ethiopian really stood out though was in Addis. On both the outward and return legs I had between 18 and 24 hours in Ethiopia. Ethiopian arranged temporary visas so we could enter the country and put us up in decent hotels, providing all transportation as well as meals in the hotels. I was not expecting this and certainly did not expect to get put in such a good hotel, and we all got to see a bit of Addis, a charming capital city. | ||
