Taken May 2004 from London, Gatwick - LGW to Toronto - Lester B. Pearson - YYZ

I'm completing this review on behalf of my (non-computer-literate) mother who came to visit us in Canada.

We had booked the flight for her from Gatwick to Toronto only five days before departure via the Zoom website. The fare was an insane £225 return including all taxes and fees and a seat reservation charge. Now that's what I call good value.

The flight left Gatwick exactly on time and arrived 30 minutes early at Halifax.

The inflight service was extremely good, a very good meal with free wine offered. Soft drinks were free throughout, alcohol had to be purchased.

Seats were very comfortable and seat pitch amongst the highest in the North Atlantic market.

The cabin crew were extremely friendly and attentive and provided a very high level of service.

The next leg departed Halifax on time and arrived at Toronto 15 minutes early.

I noted from the Zoom website that their Glasgow flight that day had also departed on time and arrived early, and random checking of their website, the GTAA website and Flytecomm also suggests this is a very punctual airline who are consistently arriving on time or early.

For £225, Zoom sets a standard that is almost impossible to be beaten, normally things which sound too good to be true are exactly that, Zoom however deliver everything you could ask for and at a price that is cheaper than flying Heathrow to Manchester on a weekday.

Amazing!

Would not hesitate to use them again, let's hope their new scheduled services between Canada and the UK are a success, the World needs more airlines like Zoom.
