Home > Lan Chile > ReviewTaken January 2004 from Miami, FL - MIA to Lima - LIMI would like to report that I suffered from food poisoning on the way from Miami to Lima on New Years eve, a few hours after dinner was served in the airplane. This was an extremely painful experience. In a way to ask for compensation for that event, I requested upon my return from Lima (Peru) to Miami on Jan 13 to be seated in first class. My request was denied by the people at the check-in counter. When I asked he air hostesses in the airplane after take-off again, they first ignored my request - as if I was crazy to ask - then faked not to understand my request and finally avoided and ignored me. On top of all this, my bag was lost upon my return to Miami. Lan Chile found the bag in Lima and the day after I had to go back to the airport (BWI) to recover the backpack. Returning to the airport cost me time, money and was very inconvenient. I called all this extremely poor customer service, and thus wanted a reimbursement for the flight. They send me an upgrade certificate to first class, for a flight with Lan Chile within one year. I find that rude. I guess that sometimes it is better to spend $100 more and take an American Airline Company! | ||
