Flight - 6116 Bristol to Nice, depart 10.35, arrive 13.40.

My first flight with Easyjet proved to be a very enjoyable experience. Check in at Bristol airport was operated by Easyjet staff and was smooth and efficient. Flight was called 25 minutes before departure and was fully loaded within 10 minutes. The aircraft for the flight was a 737-700 which was well looked well maintained both externally and internally. Unfortunately there was a slight delay in departure as some passengers had been left into the departure lounge with inappropriate documentation (how they got past check-in with presumably the same 'documentation' one can only guess). After their bags were offloaded, we pushed back about 10 minutes late and taxied straight to the Westerly runway for takeoff.

The takeoff was smooth although the seat belt signs did stay on for what seemed like a very long time. Complementary inflight magazines were handed out and were then followed by the trolley service. Good selection of drinks and food which overall seemed reasonably priced. After the trolley service, the tax free goods followed and then a general clean up was undertaken by cabin staff. Although this is a 2 hour flight, the time passed very quickly and we approached Nice airport via the coast over St. Tropez and Cannes. Smooth landing in Nice and a very quick taxi to our gate to arrive 10 minutes ahead of schedule at 13.30 local time. After passing through Immigration, bags were already on the carousel in the Arrivals Hall.

Seat pitch was a standard 31 but felt comfortable on a flight on this lenght. Cabin staff were very helpful and actually looked as if they were enjoying their job. The captain and his co-pilot kept us informed for the duration of the journey which is good to see as people are keen to know where they are / what altitude they are at / etc.

All in all a very pleasant flying experience and if Easyjet can keep standards like this I for one will be happy to fly with them again.
