Taken June 2004 from Dublin - DUB to London, Stansted - STN

Just back from London after a return journey with Ryanair.

Both flights were bang on time, after boarding had started early

Ryanair now seem to be operating a new priority boarding system whereby the first 65 pasengers to check-in are boarded first. This was better than the mad rush which I had experienced before.

The outbound flight was on a Boeing 737-800 series - EI-DAG. The crew were polite and kept busy as the flight seemed to be 100% full. The pilots were informative and gave details of our routing etc. We touched down in Stansted 10 minutes early which was great.

The return flight was similar, but was on an aircraft in new colours which are a definate improvement, EI-DAR. Boarding began shortly after the aircraft arrived on stand after a very quick and efficient turn around. The interior was mostly a bright yellow which was actually quite soothing. The seats were also of a new design, a kind of leather feel which was comfortable. However, there were no pockets in the seat, presumably to stop people throwing rubbish in them. Again, the mostly Spanish crew were excellent, actually had smiles all round on this flight which was again 100% full, unusual I thought for a mid-week flight. Flight landed in Dublin exactly on time after circling over the sea before the final approach. One funny thing, the purser announced that we had arrived in Stansted even though it was Dublin, laughs all round, she could see the funny side!

All in all for less than 50 Euro return all-in, I couldn't complain even if there was a problem which there wasn't. I wouldn't hesitate to use Ryanair again, it is everthing you need if you don't expect the world. Well Done Ryanair!
