This was my first international flight. However, I went with my mother who had been on several international flights. I was concerned about being in the air for 12 hours (the first leg of the flight) and that, combined with the second leg of the flight (5 hours) made for a very long flight. However, the flight attendants were attentive, they seemed to take great pride in their work, and they set up a schedule where they seemed to be doing something for us (meals, beverage, movie, hot towels) regularly.

My mother did not care for the food, but most of the dishes were Asian, which I expected. However, they appeared to offer a mainly American meal or a mainly Asian meal. I overate myself; there was a lot of food to be had. The only minor problem I had is that they were out of the choice I wanted, and the flight attendant did not make an effort to check with the others to see if they had my meal preference. I could have pushed and asked for it, but I did not.

The beverages with abundant and wine and alcohol was free, which is a change from the parsimonious US flights that I have been on. I read another review where the person complained about not getting enough. I think I had 3 glasses of wine for the 12 hour flight. Not enough to get drunk, but not enough to where I felt cheated.

I am a tall person, over 6' tall, so I was concerned about the seat sizes. I have been in planes where my legs were jammed against the sea in front of me. This was not the case and I could easily work on my laptop, except when the people in front of me laid back.

When it came to service, I felt that these flight attendants took pride in their work and I felt comfortable going to their cubby holes and asking for additional beverages when I felt like wandering around.

The bathrooms were stocked with packaged tooth brushes and toothpaste.

My mother, although she did not care for the food, was very pleased with the overall experience, as was I. I will fly with Korean Air again.
