Taken January 2004 from London, Heathrow - LHR to Abu Dhabi - AUH

The flight started badly with a delay that we were told would be 8 hours. This turned out to be 9 hours. Our flight departed around 5.30am. so the night spent at the airport in terminal 3 with no drink or food facilities available after 11.00pm did not get our holiday of to a good start. The food on Gulf Air is probably one of the worst I have tried. The Flight attendants were not very forth coming with the drinks either. The entertainment system was difficult to use, but at least we had our own screens.

The plane was new and modern, but the seats seemed very narrow. On the return leg of the journey, after about 4 hours into the flight, the toilets became very smelly and dirty. No attempt was made to keep these clean.

Would I fly this airline again - probably not!
