Taken May 2004 from Chicago, IL - CHI to Los Angeles, CA - LAX

This was a connecting flight to China Airlines on the way to Manila. Also this was my first time ever on a plane, so to start off, I was rather vague on what service was about.

The flight departed and arrived on time, with a smooth flight. The snack was a mediocre box of snacks including bag of chips and a Toblerone that melted just before I got to eat it. $5 for a can of beer was rather steep, but the soft drinks were offered for free.

3.5 hour flight in a cramped 757, and just a snack, I figured OK. Come to discover the flight from Taipei to Manila (1 hour 45 minute flight) served a full blown meal. This goes to show how cheap United has gotten.

All in all what do I expect, I just got the cheapest tickets to get somewhere from a consolidator. This time I will be going through these reviews to see what I can get this time.
