Taken July 2004 from Bristol - BRS to Glasgow - GLA
Departure from Bristol was delayed by 25 minutes due to the lack of a marshaller. The Captain commented rather angrily over the cabin PA that this happened all too frequently and that the handling agents at Bristol (Servisair) needed to get their act together. An unusual tirade at the start of the flight! Incidentally the Edinburgh flight on the next stand was delayed longer that our flight for the same reason. Despite that rather inauspicious start, the rest of the journey went smoothly. Strong tailwinds meant that most of the lost time was made up and we were only a few minutes late in arriving at Glasgow. Was impressed with in-flight service - a hot breakfast is becoming a rarity these days. The Embraer 145 operated on this route is a little uncomfortable - would not like to experience a longer flight on this aircraft. It is not so much legroom as the width of the seats that are the problem - they seem very narrow and I am relatively slim! I also banged my head on the overhead lockers as there is not much headroom! |
