I would like to complain about the service we have recieved from Skyservice flight crews, attendants and customer service reps. I am sure you will be recieving a lot of these complaints due to the incident that took place on Sunday Dec. 31, 2000. (Pearson Term 3). Not only were we delayed 12 hours, we were left for hours with no information as to what the problems were. They called in the police to treat us like animals as they switched us from gate to gate with no explanations. Causing the crowd too become more irrate. They lost complete control of the situation. They allowed passengers to smoke inside of the designated waiting NON - SMOKING areas, when I complained to a sky service rep she said "ah it's New Years"(I didn't know that constituted breaking the law) I also complained to a uniformed officer who also did nothing about the situation. There wasn't just one or two people smoking on the premises, it was about 10-15 smokers. As a non smoker it is my right to complain but that is not why I complained. I complained TWICE with no cooperation because I am asthmatic and I was subjected to dangerous health conditions for hours while no one from Skyservice took contolled of the situation. As far as I'm concerned Skyservice did nothing to address any situations right away. They kept running away from the problem until the mob of angry passengers was just short of storming the airport terminal. When they finally sent out someone to speak to us it took an additional 2 hours for her to come out and speak to the passengers from her office that was apparently 5 minutes away. The service was awful and unreliable, the flight was uncomfortable, and just as unpleasant as waiting 14 hours for a flight as we listened to a last minute crew who were chucked onto the aircraft who obviously didn't want to be there New Year's Eve. There was many more incidents that made the situation worse like them ordering Pizza for half the people that were there as people scrambled for the food it caused arguements and upset to an already upset crowd of unhappy travelers who missed New Years' Eve. To add more insult to injury (if you can imagine there's more) we were told that one of our planes was missing a part, a second plane we sat and watched our crew walk out, and the last time no one even knows what the problem was. I will never travel when time is of the essence. I will never use Skyservice again or any of its affilates even if that means I never fly again (I'd rather endure a torturous 14 hour drive). And I am making a formal complaint to Syserve Customer Relations Dept. Just in case no one responds to this (as I wouldn't be surprised at all) And I am doing everything possible to have Skyservice fined for breaking the smoking By law WHY THE HELL WOULD I REQUEST NON SMOKING FACILITIES ON MY VACATION IF I HAVE NO CHOICE!! As well as signing the petition the other passengers have put together with over 100 signatures to sue Skyservice, for some type of compensation. This was the worst worst flight I have ever booked. I am telling my travel agent, Skyservice, friends and family and whoever else will listen to our experience with Skyservice. I am sending a formal complaint will be sent to 2 Skyservice customer relations departments as well as Ron Patman, (Patmore or whatever his name is) Vice President and whoever else the other passengers suggest.
