Taken July 2004 from Bristol - BRS to Brussels - BRU
This was the first of four sectors flown with SN Brussels Airlines on a day return journey from Bristol to Berlin via Brussels. It was my first experience with this airline and I was impressed with the service provided. The cabin crew were courteous and friendly and an adequate and tasty snack (in a box like British Airways All Day Deli service) was more than adequate for a relatively short flight. A nice touch was the Belgian chocolate offered near the end of every flight. The British Aerospace 146 was comfortable with leather seats and only 5-across seating (unlike the 6-across on this aircraft type with other airlines). Only negative was a 35 minute delayed departure from Bristol due to Air Traffic Control restrictions - this, of course, was outside the airline's control. This caused me some problems on arrival at Brussels as I had a tight connection. I have not given a rating fro value as I was using Frequent Flyer points for the journey and only had to pay the taxes. If I had bought my ticket the fare quoted was in excess of £500 - a very expensive day trip indeed. I would have instead used the very much cheaper easyJet flight from Bristol although with only one flight daily an overnight stay would be required. |
