Home > Alaska Airlines > ReviewTaken August 2004 from Los Angeles, CA - LAX to Anchorage, AK - ANCLAX-ANC and ANC-LAX: Both flights with new Boeing 737-700 aircraft, about 4h 45 min each way. I paid coach fare, but upgraded to first class at check-in for only $100 each way - a steal! The first class seats are wide, but a bit stiff and don't recline as much as those in other US airlines. The food was decent - breakfast burrito and hummus with pita chips on the way up and hummus with pita chips and a fruit salad and scone for the redeye on the way back down. First class customers are offered individual entertainment systems that have about 8 movies, 10 different music channels with 10-15 songs apiece, and a host of TV programs and informational pieces. The flights were smooth and both left on time and arrived early. If flying between LAX and Anchorage, sit on the left side going up and the right side going down to get the best view of the amazing scenery between Seattle and Anchorage. | ||
