Taken July 2004 from Dublin - DUB to Faro - FAO

Flew with Monarch Airlines for the first time in July.

We flew on an Airbus A300 series Reg No.G-MONS which was in the new colour scheme. Our Flight was delayed in Dublin for about two hours due to air traffic control restrictions over the Canary Island from where the aircrft had come and as we were pulling out from the terminal a child sitting at the front of the aircraft suffered some sort of panic attack, we had to return to the terminal and the families bags had to be removed from the aircraft. A few passengers were complaining about the delay but to be fair it wasnt the airlines fault. Eventually we took off for Faro and the service on the two and half hour flight was very good indeed. The in-flight entertainment was only ok due to TV screens being in the middle isle of the aircraft so you were kind of straining to see the screen if you were at a window seat. The flight attendants were very nice and helpful. The leg room on this aircraft is not great (like most charter airlines) but i was sitting on a isle seat which helped a lot but i could see that other tall passengers were struggling with the cramped 3-3-3 configuration.

We arrived in Faro with a nice landing and i thought my experience with Monarch was quiet pleasant.
