Home > United > 2004 > ReviewTaken May 2004 from Washington, Dulles, DC - IAD to Amsterdam, Schiphol - AMSWe were seated in the second last row in the center of a B777. Seat pitch was child-size approved for 1.60 m and under and the center armrest could not be moved up. When the food was served, they ran out of the meal type I wanted. No food was given to my 2 kids because the kid-meals (which we requested before buying the tickets and at check-in) were finished! The solution of the crew was that my kids share 1 adult meal and got extra prezzels. The cabin crew was not motifated to do one step more than necessary. The service existed out of drink with prezzels, a hot meal not of my choice with a 2nd softdrink, one cup of Sprite during the mandatory cabin lights-out and some yoghurt with a piece of dough (looked like a croissant) with butter and jam about 1 hour before landing. Coffee/Tea service only once after breakfast. Needless to say, I only fly United Airlines when there is no alternative. Even if it means I have to fly a Northwest DC-10 instead of a B777. | ||
