The line up at the check in for business passengers was for a strange reason longer than economy passengers, but the representative at the counter was very apoloetic and friendly. The flight from Amman to Dubai was on board an Airbus 330; the business seats were extremely comfortable with ample space, the food was good but not outstanding, the entertainment was excellent which made the flight seem shorter, but the service was poor and the crew was unfriendly. My onward flight to Indonesia was long as the plane stops in Colombo and Singapore before reaching Jakarta. The flight was on board a Boeing 777. The flight was at 3:00 a. m and most of the crew looked tired; I even saw few attendants drink red bull to gain some energy which I thought was funny. The aircraft had only business and economy seats. The business seats were much smaller and had little leg room compared with the business seats on my previous leg and that was a big disappointment since the flight was long and I was having difficulty to get some sleep. The food was good, but not exceptional. The entertainment was good, but the games were not functional. The same crew remained on the flight from Dubai until Singapore. I could sense that they were getting tired and cranky, I guess they were running out of red bull. The flight from Singapore was was full and the crew looked fresh and offered an excellent service. The Dubai Jakarta trip is a long flight. Therefore, the seats must offer flat beds or maybe much bigger seats. I feel as airlines become bigger the management seems to lose control over service quality. I have spoken to friends and colleagues who have recently flown with Emirates and they all agree that the service is deteriorating at Emirates. I hope nothing else detoriates and the airline continue to improve. | ||
