Taken June 2004 from Oslo - OSL to Singapore, Changi - SIN
Generally a good flight, but SAS seem to have cut back on their service levels the last few years. Compared to Asian airlines, the service seems a little impersonal and cold, but that's the way things work in Scandinavia, there seems to be a tendency to "not disturb" people if they don't require it. We were served a meal at the beginning of the flight, a meal before landing in Bangkok and a snack between Bangkok and Singapore. in between the meals the cabin staff seemed to disappear - a little disconcerting on such a long flight. Food is average compared to Singapore airlines, but in-flight entertainment is much improved after the introduction of personal TV screens in all cabins. All in all not bad, but the lack of service does create a bad impression. |
